Prior to joining Delonex Energy as Regional Director, Africa, Steve was Chief Business Development Officer and a member of the Airtel Africa International Management Board leading new business opportunities and acquisitions across Africa, while also providing strategic direction and guidance on government and regulatory matters.
In the past, Steve held numerous senior management positions in South Asia before joining Mo Ibrahim’s pioneering Celtel, where as the CEO he led the Malawi, Zambia and Tanzania operations from start up to award winning telecommunication businesses. Following the acquisition of Celtel by Zain Group, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Zain Anglophone Africa, where he had full responsibility for seven countries forming part of the group sold to Bharti Airtel in 2010 for a record $10.6Bn
